The Colorado Association of Realtors recently released real estate data for the mountain regions of Gunnison, Steamboat Springs, Telluride and Vail. It’s hard to compare these four ski areas although buyers and sellers can generally draw these conclusions:
- Low inventory levels and strong buyer demand are pushing prices upwards.
- Now that bank-owned properties and short sales are being absorbed, buyers are buying conventional homes.
- Record low mortgage rates and rent increases are fueling the housing recovery.
- Median prices are up 20% and Days on Market are down 15%
