Real estate prices are rising in Steamboat. At popular condo developments like The Villas at Walton Creek, prices started to rise in 2012 as excess inventory was absorbed leaving less negotiating room for buyers.
At The Villas at Walton Creek, there were 5 sales in 2012. The chart below only shows pricing for 2BR condos (there was one 3BR sale which isn’t enough data to see trends). Price variables for location, upgrades, floor plans, etc. weren’t taking into account, but the general trend with condos under $300K and single family homes under $700K is prices have hit bottom and are on their way back up.
