May has been an amazing month for condo sales in Steamboat! We had 23 condo sales in 2015 compared to 15 in 2014. When we look at dollar volume, the sales have almost doubled since last year. Similar to what’s been going on in April, the majority of sales were under $500,000 (18 out of 24).
Because of the tighter and more expensive rental market in Steamboat, the demand for condos under $300K is very high, and this is reflected in sales price. For properties under $300K, the average sold price compared to asking price was 97.2%, up 2% since May!
Of the higher-priced condominiums, two properties sold at One Steamboat Place, one for $1,325,000 and another for $1,775,000. Also, there was a sale at Torian Creekside for $772,500 and one at Torian-Plum for $577,000.
